JACK KEROUAC - on the road
Isn’t he brilliant!
Heard about it. Read a lot about it and finally one day our lucky star shinning upon us. Lucky enough to get the ONLY LEFT TICKETS FOR TWO on the summer screen premiere at annual Somerset House movie under the star this year! (our tradition - third year in a row!) ….
and I kid you not..we arrived on the spot ..with our nonchalant attitudes mindlessly having no tickets whatsoever..just 1 hour before the show…what a joke.
yet the security man handed us absolutely two tickets FRESH - hang on - FOR A PRICE OF ONE!
I am the luckiest girl in the world - ouais c’est moi!
so there we were. under the stars above embankment. With the main actor Sam in front of our very eyes! Starstrucked and gobsmacked by the freedom of the young and the wild, drowned in the wacky jazz tunes and deep blues of Mississippi rhythm….when I lay down my head on our picnic basket..and squeezed my self under the blanket as the cool breeze of the night sweeping my back…staring at the big screen, I looking up…dark blue sky, summer air, waving proud Union Jack on the top of the building….I am alive. Holding my loved one under the picnic blanket.
……and sst…… this is our plan for December big trip . Our own trip. Looking forward to see you again Frisco. this time I am not alone …
Get to San Francisco.
Get to San Francisco in defiance of your geography, your ancestry and the lonely change rattling sad excuses in your pocket.
Fuel up on pie and diner coffee and mystic visions and the freedom of not knowing what’s coming next except that you’re burning the road to outrun it.
